A disbarred lawyer (Giancarlo Giannini), on the road to get his girlfriend an abortion, finds himself trapped in a no-man's land where a ruthless thug (François Negret) plans to take over a small seaside village to build an everyman's Las Vegas. The small-time hoodlum lures the lawyer in his dreams of merciless grandeur while the man begins to think that maybe there could be a second chance even for him. But sadly fate is awaiting just around the corner.
