Shipping policy
ABRAXAS recently relocated, so certain items may not be available at this time despite being listed as in stock. This happens occasionally anyway, but everything's a bit disorganized right now with inventory spread across several locations. If an item in your order is not available, we'll contact you and refund the difference.
Orders typically ship within a week's span, often sooner. There may be a length of several days between the date on which you place your order and the day it ships out. You will receive email notification with tracking information once it has been sent.
Patches are shipped in letter-sized envelopes, with no tracking available. Unless an upgrade is made to another shipping method during the checkout process, there's no way for us to know what happens to the envelope after it leaves our care. We are not responsible if it goes missing and you will not be refunded. Alternatively, patches can be added to larger orders for little to no increase in shipping cost.
Please be patient in receiving your order. Items shipped via Media Mail *officially* may take up to two weeks to be delivered once received by the post office. Unless a reasonable span of time has passed, please DO NOT CONTACT US TO ASK WHERE YOUR PACKAGE IS. Do not send an inquiry mere days after placing your order. As of April 2023, USPS is still experiencing delays. The holiday season and months immediately following it are exceptionally impacted. Though there are occasional lapses in tracking information being provided and shipments may be inexplicably rerouted, USPS has never had one of our packages go missing (aside from one small envelope with a $2 patch, sent in November of 2022) and only one package has been returned to us as undeliverable as of March 2024. That said, Abraxas is not responsible for items lost, mishandled or damaged in transit.
Note that the actual cost of shipping may be less than you are initially charged. Unfortunately, not everything adds up as precisely as it should and lighter items such as clothing, cassettes, zines or CDs may tally as heavier than the actual weight of the parcel. We do our best to promptly refund any excess amount paid for shipping and handling. If you receive a refund notification without communicating directly with us beforehand it's likely that a portion of the shipping charges have been refunded to you. Contrary to this, the notification may refer to a partial refund for a specific item in your order. If something you ordered is actually out of stock and being refunded to you, a real live human will send an email to let you know.
Sorry, no international shipping available at this time.

The REFUND POLICY is tucked away at the bottom of the checkout page but it might be handy for you to access before then, so here's that:
Cancelled items/orders are subject to a restocking fee, determined by the expense of packing material, labor and cost of a transaction fee which we are charged by the online retail host. Orders which are unable to be cancelled prior to shipment will be subject to the additional cost of postage.
Eligibility of goods to be returned or exchanged is non-negotiable and must be coordinated in agreement of and in direct communication with Abraxas personnel prior to any further motion. Returned items may not be received in anything other than new condition, unopened and unworn, with no depletion nor damage upon the object. The customer will be responsible for all costs corresponding to the shipment and condition of goods. Completion of the return is solely the responsibility of the customer.
Abraxas is not responsible for items lost, mishandled or damaged in transit. Reimbursement for materials returned will occur in no part prior to personnel's reception of the entirety of goods in question and only in accordance with the conditions detailed here. Refunds, partial or in full, for otherwise defective items are subject to the discretion of Abraxas personnel. When possible, customers are encouraged to facilitate the replacement of defective media by communicating directly with the company or party responsible for its release.
