Abraxas Journal #3 offers 176 large format pages of essays, poetry, interviews and art. Printed using state-of-the-art offset lithography to the usual high standard, Abraxas 3 is richly illustrated and employs a variety of papers.

Here you will find some rare and fascinating material. Recently, Buratti Fine Art, Perth, has launched an exhibition of the Palermo Collection – a group of newly discovered paintings by Aleister Crowley that were exhibited briefly at the Palais de Tokyo, Paris, in 2008. The show will tour Australia and key countries in the Far East between November 2012 and late 2013. In support of this initiative, there is a special feature herein that includes texts translated from the original French catalogue, and a full checklist of the pictures.

This issue also offers an interview with Moscow based artist, Denis Forkas Kostromitin, who has produced a print of the Madragora for our hardback issue. Also within these pages will be found a photo-documentation of Christina Mitrentse’s art installation project The Secret School, an evocative account of Puglia’s strange taranta dance by Francesco Dimitri, an interview with the Williamsburg artist Jesse Bransford, and as always, a rich selection of poetry, art, typography and essays.
