BLACK DOG no.1
"Since our earliest days, we have marked the land we live in. Our existence leaves behind patterns, tracks, trinkets and monuments. These crumbs of lives once lived can give insight into the people of the past and often show us how little our habits have changed. In certain parts of this country, you need only scrape back the surface soil to reveal the lost items of those who came before. Fragments of pottery mixed with the pebbles in the soil, a lone spearhead unearthed by the plough, ancient coins scattered in the fields like seeds.
In this particular issue, we look to the ground beneath our feet and ask, ‘what secrets may it hold’?"
